The waitlist
Offering cancelled times to people who want an earlier appointment.
Adding someone
Diary in the menu → the Waitlist tab → Add someone. Find the patient, then choose what they're waiting for: one service, or any service in a category (such as MSK or New patient). Optionally choose a practitioner, a site, the days and times that suit (mornings before 12, afternoons 12 to 5, evenings after 5) and a date to stop at. Anyone on the team can add people.
Patients joining themselves
When no time suits on the booking page, patients can press Join the waitlist under the times. They give their details the same way as booking, and they're matched to their record by email and date of birth.
When a time comes free
When an appointment is cancelled or moved, its time is offered straight away to the first people on the list it suits, in the order they joined: by text (if they've agreed to texts) and email, with a link to take it. The first to take it gets it; the time is held while they pay any deposit, exactly as when booking online. Only services that fit the freed time and that the patient could book online are offered (new patients only new-patient services, for example).
How many, and for how long
Settings → Booking policy sets how many people each freed time is offered to at once (3 to start with) and how long the link works (60 minutes to start with, and never past your minimum notice for online bookings).
Offering by hand
The diary and Today show Free times for the waitlist: cancelled times that are still free, with who they suit. Press Offer to send someone the link, or call them and book in the diary as usual.
Coming off the list
People come off the list when they're booked (by taking an offer, or when you book them for that kind of appointment), when you press Booked or Remove, or after their date. See them under Ended. Taking an earlier time doesn't cancel a later appointment they already have: check with them.
Filters
Filter the list by type, practitioner and site. Filtering by a practitioner or site also shows people happy to see anyone, or go anywhere.
