Rooms and equipment
Stop two people booking one room, or the same machine, at the same time.
Do I need this?
Only if two practitioners could clash over a room or a piece of equipment, such as a laser or a shockwave machine. If you set nothing up, booking works exactly as it does now.
Adding rooms and equipment
In Settings → Locations, open Rooms and equipment under a site and add each room (Treatment room 1, Treatment room 2) and any equipment only one person can use at a time. How many is usually 1; if you have two identical machines, say 2 and two people can use them at once. If a training module covers it ("Laser safety"), choose it under Who can use it: only staff with a current pass are offered it (the owner always is).
What each service needs
In Settings → Services & prices, open a service and, under Room and equipment, choose whether it needs any free room, one of some particular rooms, and which equipment. Equipment with the same name at another site counts too, so "Laser" means whichever site's laser. Saving gives upcoming appointments for that service their room where one is free, and tells you about any that clash.
Online booking and other systems
Patients, the patient account's reschedule page and outside systems using your API (such as an AI receptionist) are only offered times when the practitioner, a suitable room and the equipment are all free.
In the diary
Each appointment shows its room. If a booking or a move would put two people in one room or on one machine at once, it's stopped and the diary says why. The owner can choose to book it anyway; that's recorded against the appointment and in the audit log.
